Miss McAlister, in charge of the Matamata Hospital, is visiting Auckland and is the guest of Mrs. E. Brake, Epsom.

JUNIOR CLUB “AT HOME” FINE FLORAL DECORATIONS Beautiful flowers were in abundance in the rooms and on the landings at the At Home of the Junior Club yesterday, including large bowls of violets, anemones, daffodils, as well as plants and palms. Tea was served in the billiard room and in tho lounge, where the table was arranged with Iceland poppies. In the billiard room the table was arranged with a large bowl of white and crimson anemones and ranunculi, and with smaller bowls of white and crimson sweet peas and anemones. The president, Mr. Mervyn Reed, and Mrs. Reed welcomed the guests. Mrs. Reed wore a graceful gown of black crepe fleuri, made with a panel effect, with relief of cameo pink. With this was worn a smart black hat and white fox fur. Among those present were: Lady Sinclair Lockhart, in a frock of black silk marocain, with black hat of the picture type simply trimmed with roses. Lady Myers, who was also in black with a cape coat effect, and silver grey furs. Her hat was of black with feather cluster at one side. Mrs. A. M. Ferguson, black gown of bengaline with smart black hat and furs. Mrs. H. R. Bloomfield, fiuer de lys grey frock of georgette, with pert little hat of silver straw'. Mrs. E. H. Reid, black gown of crepe alonza with fur wrap and smart hat in black and white. Mrs. E. Alexander, cavalier brown frock with fawn hat. * Mrs. Tewsley, figured frock of black and white crepe de chine, with large black hat.
