This vessel is the last of four vessels built for the Commonwealth and Dominion Line for the A’ew Zealand trade.—A.P.A.-U.S. BANDITS* WOMAN CHIEF —Three bandits, led by a woman, all of them being armed, held up 12 persons in Xew York who were playing cards, collected £4OO, and esoaped. Ono of f he victims of the robbery was a policeman. He was off duty and was not armed.—U.S. HELD TO RANSOM.—Mr. Samuel Low, president of the Carling Brewing Company, of London, Ontario, was kidnapped at Detroit. He is now being held for ransom of £7,000. The police unsuccessfully attempted to trap the kidnappers.—A.P.A.-U.S.
