GARAGE GOSSIP
A second-hand car over two years old is not the ideal vehicle with which to start a motoring career. It is strange that a garage should be so often the most unsightly thing encountered during a day's run in beautiful country.
When carrying an extra tube for an emergency, it should be wrapped in heavy paper or rolled up in a flour sack to protect against chafing.
Keep all loose articles off the floor of driver’s compartment. They may get under the clutch or brake pedal and cause an accident.
The hen may have originated tlie huddle system, but the flapper seated beside her boy friend in a roadster is not without some knowledge of the idea.
Bulky articles placed in the front door pockets will bulge the pockets, preventing the closing of the door. If doors are forced they will spring the door hinges.
Owing to the difficulties tnat London pedestrians experience in crossing certain streets during rush hours authorities are considering the suggestion of providing more subways.
An auction sale of 30 used cars, of fairly recent models, is being held next Friday at the Dominion Motors, Ltd., Albert Street. The sale commences at 11 a.m., but the cars may be inspected at any time.
