Thomas, a labourer, aged SI, pleaded guilty to being found on enclosed premises in Federal Street. “He is in the habit of visiting a woman in a boardinghouse there.” said Sub-Inspector McCarthy. “Last night he made a nuisance of himself and refused to leave when asked. A constable was called to put him out. but later he came back again and had to be arrested. He has been here before and will be here again, as there is a warrant pending for maintenance. A fine of £2 was imposed. “May I have time to pay?” asked Thomas. Mr. Hunt: No. You have not yet paid for your wife and children. Thomas: I have no wife or children. Constable Buckley, however, volunteered the information that the maintenance order was in respect of a relative who was in a State home*.
