Brisbane Crowd Makes £50,000 Response To Appeal For Great Catholic Cathedral
Received 10.40 a.m. BRISBANE, To-day. /CARDINAL CERETTI, the Papal Legate, laid the foundation-stone of the new Roman Catholic Cathedral at Brisbane, in the presence of 40,000 people. There was a large gathering of Church dignitaries. The cathedral, which Is costing £1,000,000, will be the best in Australia. An appeal for donations yielded £50,000.
