Students’ Dance

Science Society Gives Cheery Function ORIGINAL COMPETITIONS On Saturday evening the University Science Society entertained its friends at an enjoyable dance and social evening in the college hall. A number of original competitions added to the evening’s gaiety, and included charades, silhouettes and an amusing “Movie Title Competition.” Each year the society holds a race, with a Felix mascot for a prize, and this was duly run at Saturday’s function. Mr. E. D. Robins entertained the guests with a pianoforte solo. Members of the committee present were: Professor Burbidge, president; Miss Cranwell. secretary; Mr. Sagar, student chairman; Miss West, Miss Lloyd, Miss Macky, Mr. Stewart, Mr. O’Sullivan, Mr. Duncan, Mr. Briggs and Miss Bonner. Among those present were: Mrs. Cockin, wearing a gold beaded frock of primrose georgette. Miss L. Cranwell, in an ivory georgette frock beaded in silver. Miss P. Boscawen, who wore geranium rose georgette Miss Macky. wearing a frock of draped black ring velvet. Miss E. Johnston, chartreuse green brocaded ring velvet.
