EGYPT’S NIGHTMARE

Tlio Prime Minister, Mahmud Pasha, paid a visit to-day to Tanta, 50 miles north of Cairo, a hotbed of the Wafd party, where he addressed a large assemblage of notabilities. He assured them that constitutional government would be restored. He said the Government’s aim was to rid the nation of the fearful nightmare which made the Parliamentary machine a danger to public morality and an instrument of anarchy, instead of a safeguard of discipline.
