Herr Hugo Stinnes, who was arrested on August 30 after an investigation into the war loan stock frauds on a charge of withholding information in connection with the investigation, and of fraud, has resigned from all his company directorates. He has made a statement in which he says he was never involved in war bond transactions. Meanwhile, the investigation shows that the alleged frauds involve ever-widening circles throughout Europe.
