FORTY SOLDIERS WOUNDED WHEN POLES PLAY AT WAR
(United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian and y.Z. Press Association) Reed. 10 a.m. WARSAW, Thursday. Forty soldiers were wounded during army manoeuvres near Cracow. A party of cavalry, charging instead of pulling up at 100 yards distance, dashed into the infantry, who were obliged to use bayonets in self-defence. The infantry commander had to order a release of gas, which checked the cavalry onslaught.
