JEAN McELWYN LIKES SADDLE
The Auckland-owned mare, Jean McElwyn, one of the best bred and most promising pacers in the Dominion, has two engagements at Wellington to-morrow. The daughter of Nelson Bingen—Miss Spiers is in the Bollard Handicap, and if started will show her opponents that she can get a journey in good style. But being such a brilliant young lady in saddle, she may prefer the Stewards' Handicap, and although 60yds behind, should be on hand at the finish.
