COASTAL MOVEMENTS— The Apanui, which, arrived at Auckland this morning from Mercury Bay, sails again at midnight to-night for the Great Barrier. The Clansman is due at Auckland at half-past seven to-morrow morning from Russell, Opua, Whangaroa and Mangonui. She sails again at 4 p.m. next Monday for the same ports. The Hauiti, due at Auckland at one o’clock to-morrow morning from Kopu and Turua, sails again at 1 p.m. tomorrow for Coromandel. The Taniwha, which sails from Auckland at 10 o’clock this evening for Paeroa, returns again at three o’clock on Saturday morning. The Ngapuhi, sailing at half-past six this evening for Tauranga, is due back again at half-past seven on Saturday morning. The Claymore leaves Auckland at ! seven o’clock this evening for WhangaI rei. She is scheduled to return again at j 4 a.m. on Saturday. The Omana, which .sailed from Auckland this morning for Kawau, Mullet Point and Matakana, returns again at half-past twelve to-morrow afternoon. The Gisborne Sheepfarmers’ steamer Tiroa arrived at Gisborne this morning from Auckland. The vessel is due back iat Auckland again on Sunday to load i for Hicks Bay and Gisborne. The Gunbar is to sail from Auckland at 1 o’clock to-morrow afternoon for Gisborne, Napier and East Coast bays. The Waipiata is sailing from here at noon to-morrow for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Timaru. The Kartigi is due at Auckland at 10.30 o’clock this evening from Dunedin and Lyttelton. She is to berth at the Prince’s Wharf, and after discharge leaves here at noon on Saturday for Greymouth. The Katoa, en route from Port Craig and Bluff, leaves Lyttelton this afternoon for Wellington and Auckland, and is due here about Monday next. The Wingatui sailed from Dunedin at 10 o’clock last evening, via Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington, for Auckland. The Kaituna was to leave Westport at 9 o’clock this morning for New Plymouth and Auckland, and is due here about Monday next. The Kaiapoi from Wellington left Picton at 11 p.m. yesterday for Auckland, where she is due on Saturday. The Waimea arrived at Gisborne this morning and sails this afternoon for Napier and Auckland. She is due here on Sunday next. The Kaimanawa is to load at Westport about Monday for Auckland, and should arrive here about to-day week. The Kurow left Auckland last evening for Westport, where she is to load coal for this port.
The Westmoreland, in continuation of her voyage from Liverpool, leaves Auckland to-morrow afternoon for Wellington, Lyttelton and Port Chalmers.
The Otimai was to be dispatched from Auckland at noon to-day for Kutarere and Opotiki.
The departure of the Torea from Auckland for Mangapai, Parua Bay, One Tree Point and Waipu, has been postponed till noon to-morrow.
The Kawau sailed shortly aften ten o’clock this morning for Kawau, Takatu, Ti Point and Little and Big Omaha.
