‘PLUCK AND ENDURANCE’
Governor - General’s Appreciation Press Association WELLINGTON, to-day. The following telegram was dispatched by his Excellency the Gov-ernor-General yesterday:—“Kingsford Smith, Southern Cross, Christchurch—Heartiest congratulations to you and your companions on the conquest of the Tasman by air. We all appreciate the pluck and endurance that have accomplished it.”
