TUDOR, REMUERA
“LA BOHEME” “La Boheme,” the story of the great opera, will be shown at the Tudor Theatre, Remuera, this evening, interpreted by a strong cast headed by Lilian Gish and John Gilbert. “Something Always Happens,” a story of mystery in a haunted house, will also be shown. Esther Ralston and Neil Hamilton are the stars. John Davidson, formerly one of Cecil B. de Mine’s standbys, returns to the screen with a role for which he has just been signed in Samuel Goldwyn’s production of Joseph Conrad’s “The Rescue,” which is to star Ronald Colman for the first time independently. During the last few years, Davidson has been confining himself to the legitimate stage, notably in the role of Henry Spoffard in “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.” Lily Damita, the French actress whom Mr. Goidwn recently imported, will be seen opposite Ronald Colman in “The Rescue.”
