THROUGH AFRICA BY CAR
CHEVROLET REACHES CAIRO On its way from Capetown, South I Africa, to Stockholm, Sweden, the i Chevrolet expedition reached Cairo ion August 6. The arrival at Cairo is the triumphal culmination of a journey carried out j over almost impassable country, where streams have been flooded and tracks obliterated by torrential rains. Although never before has such an arduous trip been undertaken in light | siock cars, Captain Lacey, leader of the expedition, telegraphed from Cairo that the sedan and truck are both in excellent mechanical condition. HARDEST EVER Facing difficulties unknown to transportation when entering Egyptian Sudan, those who know the staying power of the Chevrolet had every confidence the journey to Cairo would be completed by road, showing the world that the endurance claimed for Chevrolet is a veritable fact even under undreamed of obstacles. That this confidence was fully justified is shown by the fact that the journey was overland all the way with no recourse made to transit by either boat or rail.
