delightful party was held in the V ictoria Hall, Birkenhead, on Saturday evening in honour of Miss Tamaision Couch's 21st birthday. The coled streamers and balloons made the hall look gay, and excellent music was supplied by Miss Stayte and Mr. Kelly. Miss T. Couch looked charming in a frock of rose crepe de chine, with petalled skirt. Mrs. C. Couch received her guests wearing a frock of floral ninon. Among those present were: Mrs. Hill, black satin with fawn relief. Mrs. Wood, black crepe de chine, black and silver shawl. Mrs. S. V. Wright, pink satin and ninon with gold rose. Mrs. Swan, larkspur blue, with sequin embroidery. Mrs. Kelly, frock of black satin crepe. Mrs. Bunny, duchess blue crepe de chine. Mrs. Dunn, lotus rose crepe de chine. Airs. Ripley, frock of paisley georgette. Mrs. J % Gracie, apricot taffeta frock . M.rs. .Norton, frock of blue crepe de chine. Mrs. R. Dunn, apple green silk inset with coffee lace. Mrs. Dereickson, navy niarocain, with oriental trimming. Mrs. B. Kelly, frock of larkspur blue crepe de chine. Miss Sutton, japonica rose crepe de chine. Miss J. Hill, opal blue panne velvet. Miss B. Stayte, frock of cyclamen taffeta. Miss G. Stayte, rose pink crepe de chine. Miss P. Stayte, blush pink crepe de chine. Miss Tucker, black ring velvet. Miss R. Hayson, powder Dlue silk crepe. Miss B.
