Old-Time Dance at Birkenhead
FOR XMAS TREE FUNDS The lodge room of the Foresteis in Birkenhead was gaily decorated on Saturady evening, where members held an old-time dance (the first of a series) to raise funds for their Christmas tree. Bro. Blackledge officiated as M.C. Items given by Messrs. G. Ackroid. W. Copeland and Miss M. Stewart, being greatly appreciated. Among those present were: Mrs. W. Moon, cerise satin, with rhinestone embroidery. Mrs. F. Grant, bois de rose crepe de chine with ecru laceMrs. Revell, black crepe de chine, with gold lace. Mrs. Headland, mauve crepella with shoulder posy. Mrs. L. Turvey, black crepe de chine relieved with gold lace. Mrs. A. Thorburn, geranium rose crepe de chine. Mrs. Osborne, blush pink crepe de chine and pearls. Mrs. E. Harkin, cerise crepe relieved with biscuit. Mrs. C. Harkin, wine crepe faille with fawn relief. Mrs. J. Howarth, frock of brocaded silk crepe. Mrs. Cameron, black georgette and sequifi trimmings. Mrs. Copeland, amber crepe de chine inset with gold lace. Mrs. Salt, frock of silver grey crepe de chine. Mrs. R. Moore, moonlight blue georgette. with sequins. Mrs. P. Stewart, frock of black crepe de chine. Mrs. Marshall, navy crepe de chine with gold lace. Mrs. A. Wrightson, frock of bois de rose taffeta. Mrs. I. Gully, larkspur blue relieved with grey. Mrs. A. Queenin, navy blue ring velvet frock. Mrs. A. Anderson, black panne velvet, with silver motifs. Mrs. J. T. Ross, black satin and cream lace. Airs. A. J. AlcLcan, delphinium blue crepe with fawn relief. Airs. E. Swindail, beige crepe de chine and lace. Mrs. Hobson, frock of floral crepe de chine. Mrs. Ereegard, blush pink crepe de chine and lace. Mrs. Douglas, cream crepe de chine and guipure lace. Airs. W. Roberts, lavender crepe de chine with silver.
