Old-Time Dance at Birkenhead

FOR XMAS TREE FUNDS The lodge room of the Foresteis in Birkenhead was gaily decorated on Saturady evening, where members held an old-time dance (the first of a series) to raise funds for their Christmas tree. Bro. Blackledge officiated as M.C. Items given by Messrs. G. Ackroid. W. Copeland and Miss M. Stewart, being greatly appreciated. Among those present were: Mrs. W. Howarth, frock of brocaded silk crepe. Mrs. Cameron, black georgette and sequifi trimmings. Mrs. Copeland, amber crepe de chine inset with gold lace. Mrs. Salt, frock of silver grey crepe de chine. Mrs. R. Moore, moonlight blue georgette. with sequins. Mrs. P. Stewart, frock of black crepe de chine. Mrs. Marshall, navy crepe de chine with gold lace. Mrs. A. Wrightson, frock of bois de rose taffeta. Mrs. I. Gully, larkspur blue relieved with grey. Mrs. A. Queenin, navy blue ring velvet frock. Mrs. A. Anderson, black panne velvet, with silver motifs.
