REFORM ORGANISES AT TITIRANGI
SUPPORT FOR SIR J. GUNSON At a well-attended meeting of electors on Saturday evening, a Titirangi branch of the Political Reform League was formed with the immediate objective of assisting the candidature of Sir James Gunson for the Auckland Suburbs seat. Mr. T. A. Bishop presided. The candidate addressed the meeting and said that if all parts of the electorate gave him the same measure of support as did Titirangi, there would be no difficulty in regaining the seat for Reform. Sir James spoke of the importance of unity in the ranks and loyalty to the party throughout the campaign. A vote of thanks and confidence in the candidate was carried. The organiser of the party, Air. Beckett, delivered a. short address and the officers of the branch were elected as follows: Chairman, Mr. T. A. Bishop; vice-chairman, Air. A. X. Clark; secretary and treasurer, Air. E. H. Blakey; delegates to’ central executive, the chairman and secretary. Those present formed themselves into a committee to work in the interests of Sir James Gunson.
