REPAIRING HORAHORA

GOOD PROGRESS MADE HALF-POWER AVAILABLE The power available this morning from Horahora was nearly equal to half the normal load. Good progress has been made since the Are at the transformer plant. The reconstruction of the transformer house roof, and the workshop, is in hand, and to enable this work to proceed the supply to Matamata and Cambridge will have to be cut off for two days, between 9.30 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. It is expected that there will be a few short interruptions on the Hamilton and Bay of Plenty lines at midnight.
