DEVONPORT SHIELD GAME SOMERVILLE V. VARSITY The fourth round of hockey matches out of a series of nine rounds for the Devonport Shield will be played at Remuera to-morrow. In view of the heavy rains it is likely that the grounds will be sluggisli and the standard of hockey will suffer. The feature match will be the game between Somerville and University, to lie decided on No. 1 ground at 3.5 p.m. Both teams won last week. CLOSE GAMES LIKELY A hard-fought contest is assured in the meeting of St. Luke’s and Mt. Eden on No. 2 at the same hour as the feat Lire game. Another close battle will bo staged when Otahuhu, which has only been beaten, once this season, meets Somerville Colts, which have put up a. good showing in the shield matches. Training College and Varsity Whippets should make an even go on No. 2 at _ 1.50 p.m. The Epiphany-North Shore fixture has been postponed, owing to the visit by the former team to Walk worth to play Rodney.
