WOMAN ONCE MORE
BOYISH FIGURE IS ENDED
FRILLS AND FRIPPERIES
(United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) LONDON, Tuesday.
As the centre of fashion Bond Street has practically dethroned the Rue de la Paix in Paris. London’s fashion parade at Olympia to-day, which revealed the season’s fashions, is acclaimed as being the best ever seen. Beautiful mannequins paraded to the strains of soft music before buyers from all parts of the wofild. The display definitely reveals that women are about to drop their pose of frankness. The boyish figure is ended. Not a single straight line, not a single plain skirt, was seen. It was no longer necessary to nudge each other and whisper: “Is that a man or a
woman ?” London decrees that woman is to become a woman again, with all her old feathers, frills and fripperies.
