ASSAULT ON HINKLER’S RECORD

Heed. 10 a.m. SYDNEY, To-day. The aviator, Lieutenant Keith Anderson, who is to commence a Sydney to London flight soon in an effort to break Bert Hinkler’s record, had considerable experience on active service, and in England with the Royal Flying Corps. He will be accompanied by Mr. Hitchcock, as engineer and general assistant. He hopes to reach London in 14 days. Lieutenant Anderson went to
•America with Squadron-Leader Kings ford Smith and Flight-Lieutenant Ulm, '•“t Came back before the Pacific flight was started. Since then he has been engaged in litigation with them. He hopped off to-day, but owing to a gale and the force of the head Winds, he returned after an hour’s flight.
