Langridge S 7 not out) ; second innings, 302 for three (J. Parks, 148 not out, K. Harding 55 not out). Essex, first innings, 476 (Eastman 90, Nichols 51, Russell 182). Sussex won on the first innings. Yorkshire v. Marylebone Club. — Yorkshire, first innings, 294 (Robinson 74); second innings, 263 for four (Holmes 73, Barber 74, Robinson 56 not out). Marylebone, first innings, 283 for four (Haig 72, Daw-son 65, Hendren ,67 not out); second innings, 373 for eight, declared (Hendren 94). Rhodes took four for 67. The match was drawn. Worcestershire v. Hampshire. — Worcestershire, first innings, 259 (Wright 101, Gibbons 94 not out). Kennedy took five for 83. In the second innings they made 277 (Quaife 55, Wright 57, Root 66).
