SPLENDID EXHIBITION

SOUTHLANDS RUGBY V/IN Press Association m INVERCARGILL, Wednesday. The match between Otago and Southland was played at Rugby Park to-day under ideal weather conditions, and before an attendance of 7,000 spectators. The game was a splendid exhibition of football, and ended in victory for Southland by 15 points to 11. The ground was in perfect order, and a fast and exciting game was witnessed.

Otago began well and led at halftime by 8 points to 3, but Southland rallied in the second spell. The visitors gave a fine display, while the feature of Southland’s play was the sound defence.
