S. ■ Brown, of Dunedin, is staying at the Star Hotel. Miss Ella Brown, of Mountain R-oad. Epsom, is visiting Sydney. Miss M. Fitzgerald, of Te Aroha, has left for a holiday in Sydney. Miss Ryan, of Herriesville, has returned from a visit to Auckland. Miss Isabel Beak, of Hamilton, is spending a holiday in Auckland. Miss I. Frood has returned to Te Aroha from a visit to Dargaville. Mr. and Mrs. G. IT. Lewis, of Christchurch, are staying at the Grand. Mrs. McKinley, of Auckland, is the guest of Mrs. H. Ferguson, in Hamilton. # Miss C. Goodwin, of Herne Bay, has been visiting Mrs. E. G. Johnson, Hamilton. Miss M. Ferguson, Victoria Avenue, has returned from a visit to Hawke’s Bay. # # Mr. and Mrs. Langguth have gone to Napier for the Badminton tournament. Mrs. W. H. Parkes returned to Auckland this morning after a visit to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. Dart have left for the New Zealand Badminton tournament in Napier. Mrs. Merrington, of Te Aroha, is on a visit to Auckland. Mrs. Nelson and Miss Margaret Nelsori have returned to Auckland from a visit to Hamilton. Mrs. A. Pascoe, of Auckland, is visiting her mother, Mrs. J. E. Hammond, in Claudelands. Miss S. McCarroll has returned to Cambridge from a short holiday in Rotorua and Auckland. Miss K. McGeahan has returned to Te Aroha after visiting her aunt, Mrs. McPhee, in Whanga.rei. Mrs. Montgomery and Miss Z. Montgomery, Ruakaka, have returned from a short visit to Auckland. Guests at the Royal are Mr. and Mrs. B. Widdowson, of London, and Miss A. Levieh, of Wellington. Mrs. Kilner, Ruakaka, is visiting Hamilton, where she is staying with Mrs. James, formerly of Te Aroha. Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Lewis, of Christchurch, arrived in Auckland by the Limited express this morning. Miss Dorothy Beere, of Mount Eden, left yesterday on a visit to her aunt. Mrs. F. B. Wylds, Bank of New Zealand, Eltham. Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Philcox and Miss Biddy Philcox are leaving on a holiday visit to England by the Remuera, on September 15. Miss G. Wright, Herriesville, has returned after a visit to Auckland, where she was th guest of Mrs. Meek, Bay View Road, Remuera.
Mr. and Mrs. Carroll, of Ruakaka. have recently left for Sydney to attend the Eucharistic Congress. While in Australia, they intend motoring to Brisbane.
Miss Marion Lowry, who had been spending a few days in Auckland on her return from a visit to Cambridge, left yesterday for Okawa, Hawke’s Bay. Miss Marjorie Macfarlane accompanied her, and will be away for about a week.
