“THE YELLOW LILY” AT ROYAL
“The Yellow Lily,” a dramatic story of love in the Balkans, will be shown this evening at the Royal Theatre, Kingsland, with Billie Dove and Clyde Brook in the leading roles. In the little Hungarian village at Tarnavar, we find the handsome, young, but worldly-tired Archduke Alexander using his castle there as hunting headquarters. His latest flame, the actress Mile. Ilona, is with him; but he is bored by her, so when he spurns her, she pretends to take poison. She is hurried to the office of the village doctor, Eugene Peredy, where her deception is exposed. There Alex meets Judith Peredy, and falls in love with her. He tries in every way to win her, even to an attempt to irap her in his room, but fails. “The Lone Wolf Returns,” starring Bert Lytell. is the second attraction.
