DARGAVILLE BAND
ELECTION OF OFFICERS . The annual smoke concert of North Auckland Regimental Band wa s held in the Dargaville Band room on Tuesday evening, and was well attended. Mr. R. J. Peat, the newly-elects president, occupied the chair. Prior j. the function the band met and elected its officers as follows:—Patrons: The Right Hon. J. G. Coates. Prime Mir., ister. and the Hon. C. J. Carrington M.L.C.; president. Mr. R. j. vice-presidents, Messrs. F. A. Jone< E. Harding, D. L. Ross, T. Webb, a Borlass, J. Treniain and D. M. Evans bandmaster, Lieut. G. M. Kirton: deputy bandmaster and band- sergeant. Sergeant L. Houghton: treasurer, Mr J. V. Masters: secretary and corporal Bandsman D. O. Rush: drum-major Mr. J. Harrison: librarians, Lane*. corporals H. Traylor and G. Vauc* committee, Messrs. R. Peat. F. Walter.. 11. H. Tonkin, J. Masters, A. Eire' Sergeant Houghton, Corporal Ru*,! Bandsmen Honnor and A.
