WATER MAIN BURSTS

A lOin water main burst near Hammond Street, Hamilton, yesterday afternoon and caused a spectacular waterspout. The main affected is the ono through which the Hamilton town supply is pumped, from, the pumping station on the banks of the Waikato River to a large reservoir on a lull overloking the twn. Repairs will be effected t-day.
