AUCKLAND BOXERS TO WELCOME HEENEy
TT is the intention of the Northern Boxing Association to invite Tom Heeney to a social function in the Chamber of Commerce on Monday evening, and a cable to that effect will probably be sent to-day. Heeney is due in Auckland by the Aorangi on Sunday. The function is being held tor the purpose of presenting the medals to the winners and run-ners-up at the recent Auckland amateur championships, and it was thought fitting that Heeney should be invited to be present.
