PLANT BEING RESTORED

RAPID REPAIR WORK (From Our Oxen Correspondent.) HAMILTON, To-day. Through a bank of 11,000 transformers the Horahora plant is carrying a load of 1,400 kilowatts this morning. This power is supplied largely to the Thames Valley and Cambridge Power Boards. By to-morrow it is hoped to bring into use a 5,000 bank of transformers, through which an additional load of 3,000 kilowatts is expected to be carried, bringing the total to 4,400 kilowatts. The Arapuni and Ngongotalia line will be restored with this, and also the Hamilton and Te Awamutu circuits. A conference of power boards at Horahora to-day is discussing the whole situation.
