O. F. NELSON AND OTHERS HURT IN MOTOR SMASH
CARS COLLIDE ON NARROW BRIDGE CLOSE TO RUGBY (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (United Service) Reed. 9.5 S a.m. LONDON, Monday. Mr. O. F. Nelson, leader of the Samoan malcontents, his daughter Lucy and his secretary, Mr. Rex Pleasant, were among eight persons who were injured in a motor smash on a narrow canal bridge at Watford, near Rugby, owing to a broadside collision. Both cars were extensively damaged and crashed into a hedge. The occupants were thrown in the roadway. Mr. Nelson has a cut forehead and eyelid, and his daughter and Mr. Pleasant are suffering from shock. The chauffeur, Hoskins, was taken to hospital with head injuries.
