MISSING SOLICITOR'S DEFAULT NO SIGN OF BATCHELOR Press Association CHRISTCHURCH. To-day. In the Supreme Court at Christchurch to-day Mr. Justice Adams made an order adjudicating as bankrupt John Black Batchelor, the missing solicitor. Counsel said Batchelor had left the city to defeat creditors. Leonard Percival Voice, a petitioning creditor, said he had given £968 to Batchelor to pay as purchase money on a house. The money had not been paid. Later Batchelor put in a cheque for the amount, but it was dishonoured. A police sergeant said in evidence that no trace had been found of BatchI elor, though inquiries had been made ; all over New Zealand.
