Something went wrong with the plane when they were I.oooft up. "I don’t know what happened, but the earth suddenly began to spin up to meet us,’” said Mr. Gaddum on the Ulimaroa. this morning. “When, we crashed the engine was driven right into the ground.” Mr. Gaddum still bears the scars of his unlucky flight- He is walking on crutches and his face shows evidence of having been badly cut. His right thigh bone was badly broken, but it is mending again after several weeks in hospital. Mr. Gaddum was accompanied by his sister. Miss Ann Gaddum.
