MATE O’ MINE

MATE O’ MINE, a son of Tom Chimes from a Rothschild mare, raced prominently at the recent Addington carnival, being a close third to Harvest Child and Kingscraft in the Belgium Handicap on the middle day, and beating everything except Kingscraft in the Islington Handicap on the final day. On the latter occas-ion Edward’s charge was compelled to go 4.31 1-5 from a 4.40 peg. In the big race at New Brighton Mate O’ Mine is on 4.34, and he must be taken as having a good chance of getting more money.
