sago the skirt fell in deep petals over a foundation of silver lace, and was delicately embroidered with lovers’ knots in pearls. The bridal veil of tulle was enhanced by sprays of hand-worked lilies, and fell from a circlet of orange buds to form a graceful train. White hyacinths mingled their fragrance with roses and carnations in the bride’s bouquet. Miss Edna Burnnand, the bride’s sister and Miss Irene Rhodes were bridesmaids. The former wore a dainty frock of thistletuft green georgette, made in tiered fashion, with mitred frills. A pretty petalled head-dress was worn and was complemented by a matching bouquet. Miss Rhodes’s frock was of softly pink georgette draped in a smart way to achieve an uneven line. She wore a head-dress to tone, and carried a shower bouquet. The little Misses Phoebe and Nellie Daniels followed the bride as flower girls, picturesquely frocked in powder blue georgette with dainty rosebud trimming. They carried diminutive posies to match their frocks. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Carew Thomas, and the bride was given away by her father. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. G. C. Burnnand as best man. After the wedding a reception was held at the Penrith Tearooms, where Mrs. Burnnand welcomed a large number of guests. She wore a smart frock of black milanese tricolette with gold embroideries, and a black hat, and carried a bouquet of violets. Mrs. Chiles, mother of the bridegroom, wore a becoming suit of pearl grey sedan cloth and a hat to tone. Violets also composed her bouquet.
