HEENEY-TUNNEY FIGHT
AT HIPPODROME TO-NIGHT The authentic film of the HeeneyTunney fight is still attracting record audiences at the Hippodrome Theatre. There can be no doubt after seeing the film that, although Tunney is a master boxer, and was much more nimble on his feet than was Heeney, the New Zealander put up a wonderfully game performance. The film shows every round of the great fight, beginning with the preliminaries. The earlier stages are somewhat slow owing to a great deal of clinching. Up till the last two or three rounds Heeney was leading the fight. In the seventh round the exchanges were fewer, and the fighting more open. The tenth round shows the heavy New Zealander going in and receiving terrific punishment, but it is not until the slow-motion camera depicts, in clear relief, the blows that their force is apparent. The film is a remarkably clear one, and in addition to the main bout, shows the two boxers in training. j I
