The Philosophical Faculty of Buda Pest University has bestowed the do* 1 gree of doctor on the famous clown. ! Crock (Adrian Wettach). Twenty j years ago he was tutor to the family 1 of Count Bethlen. the present Premier | of Hungary. • Crock has enjoyed treim*ndous popu | larity since the war in Britain and in j America, and is regarded as the I greatest clown in the world. He is -a clever musician and as astute busi--1 ness man. ! Crock has refused to visit England again owing to the income-tax deduction from his princely salary. Hitherto j France is the only country which has honoured clowns.
