DATE OF ELECTIONS
GUESSING IN THE HOUSE PRIME MINISTER’S SECRET (THE BUE’S Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON. Thursday. Though many people, politicians and others, have a good idea as to approximately when the election will be. the actual date is still a secret cherished closely by the Prime Minister. Another attempt to “draw” him 0 n the question was made to-day by Mr. H. E. Holland, Leader of the Opposition, who said the election must be either on the 7th, 14th or 21st of November. The Prime Minister, with a smile, replied that Mr. Holland could have gone another fortnight and still been within range. It was difficult to fix the date when Parliament was in the middle of its session. • Mr. Holland: Have you not even an approximate date in mind? Mr. Coates: Yes, I have, but I don: intend to make it public until I am certain of it. The business of the country must come first.
