PILGRIMS’ SHIP

150 SAIL ON MAHENO THE Maheno, which left Auckland this morning for Sydney, carried 150 pilgrims to the Eucharistic Congress, which opens on September 6. Father Hil.ley, of Ponsonby, and Father Leen, of Hamilton, were the only priests who sailed with the band. The Maori race will be represented at the congress by a delegation consisting of Rini Te Keepa (Matata), Mita Taupapoki (Rotorua). Toma Tawio (Whangaroa), E. Kanero (Whangape), Werihi Tuiri (Taupo). Messrs. D. Flynn, M. J. Shehan, and E. Page are representing the New Zealand district of the Hibernian Society.
