DISTURBANCE AT DANCE
“NOT A PUBLIC PLACE” CHARGES AGAINST THREE MEN DISMISSED Press Association. WELLINGTON, To-day. As the result of a disturbance at a social at Pukewai Bay, three men, Charles Johansen, Frank Stewart and George AI. Lacey, weer charged with behaving in a disorderly manner, using obscene language and ccpnmitting mischief to the extent of &3. It was stated that the accusetf paid for admittance, and there was free access to a quantity of beer. Acctrsed used language and behaved in a <£isorderly way and, during the fight, a tray of glasses was broken. Mr. E. Page, S.M., held that the place was not a public one and that the mischief was not intentional. He dismissed the charges.
