The Roller Mills Shield competition j was continued yesterday afternoon. ] The first match was played between Thames Valley and Hamilton. At the , end of the game Thames Valley had scored 53 points while Hamilton did not score. Tries were scored by Pilkington (4), Avery (3), Lewis (2), Slaer (2), Berryman, Hincho, Tilsley and Cornthwaite. M. Curtis and Coxhead each converted a try. The second match was played between Auckland A and Waipa, resulting in a win for Auckland A by 21 points to nil. REPRESENTATIVE MATCH RETURN MATCH WITH THAMES The return match between Auckland and Thames will be played at Thames next Saturday. The s.s. Rangitoto will make a special trip, leaving Auckland at midnight on Friday, and returning to Auckland, leaving Thames at 8.30 a.m. on Sunday. NORTHLAND TOURISTS (From Our Own Correspondent) KAIKOHE, Friday. The North Auckland touring Rugby team played the second match of its tour at Kaeo, winning by 42 points to three.
