MUMS TO CONGRESS

NEW ZEALAND SENDS 800 HUGE CROWDS FOR SYDNEY New Zealand is to be represented at the 29th International Eucharistic Congress at Sydney next month by about 800 pilgrims. The Right Rev. Dr. Liston, Monsignors Cahill and Ormond, and Dr. Buxton, representatives of the Auckland diocese at the congress, are due to leave Auckland on Monday evening in qrder to join the Makura at Wellington. Archbishop O’Shea, Bishops Brodie and Whyte, travel by the same boat to Sydney. Fellow-passengers of the New Zealand prelates will be the Archbishop of San Francisco, who is to preach the occasional sermon at the opening of St. Mary’s Cathedral on September 2, several bishops from the United States, and a number of Knights of Columbus. Two chartered steamers, with large delegations, are now on the way to Sydney from Philadelphia, U.S.A., ond tbe Philippines. His Eminence Cardinal Cerretti, the Papal Legate, arrives at Melbourne on Monday, and is to be given a welcome in Sydney next Thursday.
