CO-OPERATION NEEDED
IMMIGRANTS AND LAND SCHEME FOR LORD LOVAT The New Zealand Land Settlement and Development League* Is endeavouring to prepare a definite scheme to place before Lord Lovat, chairman of the Overseas Settlement League, who will soon visit New Zealand. At a meeting of the New Zealnnd League held yesterday it was said that the co-operation of the Lands. ! Agriculture, Public Works, Railway I and Finance Departments were necessary to make settlement a success. It was necessary also to see that immigrants coming to the Dominion went on the land instead of adding to unemployment in the cities. The meeting decided to obtain what- ; ever reliable information was avail- | able concerning the Agrarian movoi ment in the Balkan States.
