EMPIRE

PROFESSOR D’ALMAINE Professor D’Almaine, the eminent hypnotist, created a sensation at the Empire Theatre when he awakened a man who had been asleep for 24 hours. In addition he presented some remarkable exhibitions of catalepsy and bloodless surgery, besides entertaining the audience with the delightfully humorous antics of his subjects. This evening Professor D’Almaine will accept ladies as hypnotic subjects, and an interesting evening should result. Fun and humour are also promised from the actions of those hypnotised. “The Chinese Parrot,” the main pictorial feature, is a thrilling mystery story. It tells of a gang of crooks who commit murder and almost every other crime to obtain possession of a string of pearls, and of mysterious happenings in a house on the desert. Marian Nixon is the star.
