WASTE CHARGES

COUNCIL INQUIRY MAY CONTINUE After debating the position in committee for an hour yesterday the special committee of the City Council dealing with the charges of waste made by Cr. W. H. Mun\y decided to recommend that the investigation be continued. The announcement made was to the effect that the committee would recommend the council to reopen the inquiry into certain items of the charges deemed to warrant further investigation. Beyond the intimation that it would be recommended that the inquiry should be conducted “on defined lines,” no information was forthcoming as to the prospective nature of the new investigation.
