BEACH CARNIVAL

BEAUTIFICATION FUNDS At the end of the year a mardi gras carnival is to be held by the i akapuna Borough Council on the Patucne Estate, adjoining Takapuna Beach. The decision of the council's Parks Committe to this effect was announced when Takapuna ratepayers met last evening-. The council is seeking the aid of the three ratepayers’ associations in the district. A committee of three representatives of each association. three members of the Parks Committee, and three delegates from the local band is to be set up. The tentative dates of the carnival are from December 26 to December 29. The object is to raise funds for beautification.
