“THE GOOSE GIRL”
EXTENDED SEASON The initial venture of the Patrician Amateur Operatice Society, “The Goose G■ will have an extended season at His Majesty’s Theatre on Friday and Saturday. In response to numerous requests, the society has decided to reopen the season for two nights The late Sir Alfred Scott-Gatty’s little opera has been adapted for modern requirements, and the comedy element considerably strengthened by Winifred and Paul Kavanagh, but as this has been done in good taste no jarring notes occur. The story is simple, and the music is bright and catchy. The performance is one of the best amateur productions seen in Auckland. “DRESS PARADE” AT ROYAL Romance and rivalry at the West Point Military Academy is the theme of the dramatic picture, “Dress Parade,” which will be shown at the Royal Theatre, Kingsland, this evening. William Boyd and Bessie Love are the stars. “The Upland Rider, v a Western racing story, starring Ken Maynard, is the second attraction.
