WAIKATO TROTTING CLUE
REVIEW OF PAST YEAR HEAVY EXPENDITURE (From Our Own Corrcspoyident) HAMILTON, Monday. According to the annual report of the Waikato Trotting Club, just issued, the club has completed its programme of capital expenditure. There is a loss of £ 600 on the year’s working. Various improvements, including the erection of a stewards’ stand, were accomplished during the year. The statement of receipts and expenditure shows: Receipts: Totalisator. £7,326 ISs 6d; gates and stands, £1,276 4s; nomination and acceptance fees, £1,125 10s; race card sales, £355 4s 9d; privileges, £73 17s 3d. On the debit side, £3,680 was expended in stake money; £llO for trophies; and £3,885 2s 5d in taxes—-mak-ing a total of £7,675 2s sd. In addition, £4,814 Is Sd was spent on buildings, course, and plant. Administrative and other charges bring the total to £14,733 13s lid.
