KAWATIRI FOR OVERHAUL.— The Kawatiri, after being anchored oft Campbell Point for some weeks, will be towed to the berth at Western Wharf this afternoon to undergo overhaul and survey. KUROW DOCKS.—The Union Company’s steamer Kurow went into dock at 11 a.m. to-day to have her hull cleaned and painted in connection with her annual overhaul and survey. The vessel was berthed at North Wall. MAUI POMARE SAILS TO-MOR-ROW. —Taking passengers, mails and cargo, the Government motor-ship Maui Pomare leaves Auckland at 11 a.m. tomorrow for Norfolk Island. Spedding, Limited, are the local agents. FRUIT STEAMER WAIPAHI. —At 11 o’clock to-morrow morning the local office of the Union Company hopes to dispatch the Island fruit steamer Waipahi from Auckland for Rarotonga, Mauke, Aitu and Aitutaki to load again for this pert.. SYDNEY STEAMERS.—The Ulimaroa arrived at Wellington at 6.50 a.m. to-day from Sydney and leaves at 11 a.m. on Friday on her return trip. The Marama, from Auckland, and the Maheno, from \\ ellington, both reached Sydney this morning, the former at 5.30 a.m. and the latter at 7 a.m. The. Maheno leaves Sydney at noon on Friday for Auckland and the Marama at 3 p.m. the same dav for Wellington. All the three vessels are due at their arrival ports next Tuesday.

CANOPUS ARRIVES. —An arrival at Auckland early this morning’ was the "Westport Coal Company’s steamer Canopus. from Westport, with a Tull cargo of coal for discharge at King's Wharf. RARANGA AT LONDON. —CabIe advice states the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Raranga reached London from Xew Zealand last Sunday. The vessel sailed from Auckland for London, via Xew York and Boston, on June 22. PORT SYDNEY AT LONDON.— Cabled news has been received by the C. and E>. Line that the Port Sydney arrived at London last Thursday from Wellington. The vesesl left Wellington on July 5. PORT BOWEN SAlLlNG. —Heather, Roberton and Company advise that the C. and D. Line’s steamer Port Bowen is to leave Auckland this evening for Gisborne, thence Napier, Wanganui and Wellington to fill up for Home. She is to be dispatched finally from Wellington on September 3 for London. Avon mouth, Glasgow and Liverpool via Panama. BENTON ARRIVING. —The International South American Steamship Company's steamer Benton will arrive from Ocean Island this evening, according to her wireless advice. She will berth at King’s Wharf to unload her cargo of 7,000 tons of phosphates to the agency of Henderson and Macfarlane, Limited. WAITOMO TO DOCK. —The unloading ™ tI 2S Waitomo’s coal cargo at King's Wharf is nearly completed. To-morrow afternoon the vessel is to go into dock to have a new tailshaft fitted in place of the one which she broke in the Tasman Sea, with the result that she had to be towed to Auckland by the Kaitoke. SOUTHERN CROSS TO BE ANCHORED. The Melanesian Mission steamer Southern Cross is to be removed to her moorings in the stream to-morrow morning. The vessel will remain at the moorings until she commences to refit for her next cruise to the Islands. She leaves Auckland on September 18. ANTI NOUS REPORTS. —Wireless advice received by Messrs. Robert Millar and Company from the New Egypt and Levant Shipping Company’s steamer Antinous states she will arrive from Tampico, Mexico, on August 29. The vessel has a full cargo of asphalt for discharge at Auckland, New Plymouth, Wellington, Timaru and Bluff. REPORT FROM COPENHAGEN. —The British steamer Copenhagen has reported by wireless that she expects to reach Auckland next Sunday. The vessel is from Galveston, Texas, with a full cargo of sulphur for discharge at Auckland. Lyttelton and Wan/ anui. Messrs. Robert Millar and Company are the local agents. SUSSEX AT SINGAPORE. —CabIed news has been received by the Union Company that the Sussex, from Calcutta, arrived at Singapore on Friday. The vessel was to have left again on Saturday for Samarang to complete loading for Auckland, Wellington. Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin and Bluff. She is due at Auckland on September 10. OTRANTO DRY DOCKED. —The Union Company has received cabled news that the Orient liner Otranto, which was recently damaged in a collision while returning from a cruise to Norway, has been safely dry docked at Southampton. Messrs. Harland and Wolff are executing the necessary repairs, and it is expected that the vessel will sail from London on her time-table date. September 15. for Australia. REMUERA LEAVES WELLINGTON. —Advice received by the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company states that the liner Remuera left "Wellington at 1 p.m. yesterday for Auckland, where she is due to-morrow morning. She is to berth at the Queen's Wharf to complete her discharge of London cargo and to commence loading for her return voyage. Afterwards the vessel will proceed to Timaru. Lyttelton and Wellington to continue loading, and she is scheduled to return to Auckland on September 10 to fill up with New Zealand produce. With passengers and mail she is to be dispatched finally from Auckland on September 15 for Southampton and London, via Panama. COPTIC AND KARAMEA. —The Shaw. Savill and Albion Company’s new motorships Zealandic, Taranaki, Coptic and Karamea are all in commission now. The Zealandic and Taranaki have already visited Auckland and the Coptic is en route from Liverpool to Auckland on her maiden voyage. She is scheduled to arrive next Monday and has cargo from West Coast ports of Great Britain for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. The Karamea, on her maiden voyage, is to leave London for Auckland and Wellington on September 12. She is due at. Auckland on October 17.
