WAIKATO HUNT

MEET AT EUREKA (From Our Own Correspondent, i CAMBRIDGE, Monday. The Waikato hunt held one of the most successful meets of the season at Eureka on Saturday, there being a very large field of district members to meet the Master (Mr. Wynn Brown) and 18 couple of hounds. The meet was at Mr. R. Townsend’s property, where a sumptuous morning tea was provided by the host. During the afternoon several excellent runs were enjoyed over neighbouring Eureka country and the Tuawhare Hills, two kills being registered. Afterwards the field was entertained by Mr. Townsend to afternoon tea. The country rode heavy, and being difficult in places there were a number of empty saddles but no bad spills.
