HIT WANDERING COW

MOTOR-CYCLISTS HURT ONE NOW IN HOSPITAL (Special to TBE SUN) PAPAKURA, To-day. Two young men on a motor-cycle— Mr. John Settes, aged 21, of Karaka, the driver, and Mr. Patterson, also of Karaka, on the pillion seat —met with severe injuries last evening as the result of colliding with a cow. The two young men were found unconscious lying in the middle of Great South Road at Roberts's Falls, Takaninl, and were picked up by the Pukekohe bus about 11 o’clock last evening. Settes, who was badly injured, was taken to the Auckland Hospital at midnight, after treatment by Dr. Page. Patterson was not so seriously injured and was taken to his home at Karaka.
